About Anthropic Anthropic’s mission is to create reliable, interpretable, and steerable AI systems. We want AI to be safe and beneficial for our users and for society as a whole. Our team is a quickly growing group of committed researchers, engineers, policy experts, and business leaders working together to build beneficial AI systems.About the role Claude is trained and served on hardware in data centers Anthropic operates and in sites partners build and run for us. DCSE secures that footprint: the sites, the hardware moving through them, and the people and vendors who touch it. Security at that scale runs on data, and you'll be the engineer who owns it and the systems that produce it: component-level hardware inventory and chain of custody, fed by software that runs at our sites and on hosts, and continuous control monitoring, with the posture calculations that decide what each site is cleared to run. You set the architecture, agree schemas and interfaces with the teams, operators and vendors that own the sources, build the pipelines, stores and tools, and run what you ship. The goal is security that runs itself: custody, access and evidence verified continuously from records, with tools and AI agents doing the reviews. We favor simple, standard controls and tools that can be verified over elaborate ones. We use Claude throughout our engineering workflow and expect you to as well. You'll work with the rest of DCSE, including the engineers on its security monitoring platform, with Anthropic's compute and data center operations teams, and directly with data center operators, hardware vendors and logistics providers. The role is based in San Francisco, with remote applicants in the US considered, and involves regular travel to data center sites, which are critical infrastructure. Key responsibilities Hardware inventory and chain of custody: own the component-level record of what hardware exists, where it is and who has handled it: the data model, the pipelines that join inventory and custody events from many source systems, change history on every record, and the tamper-evident stores behind it Tools, automation and AI agents: build the tools and agents the team runs on this data: reconciliation, audit evidence exports, custody checks. When a review keeps costing people time, you build the tool or agent that retires it Custody workflows and field software: build the workflows and the site and host software that capture custody events as they happen (a receipt, a move, a data wipe, a decommission) and enforce who is authorized to record them Continuous control monitoring and posture: own the pipelines that turn check outcomes, assessment results and findings into per-control and per-site measures over time, against the compliance frameworks we and our partners are assessed against, and the posture calculation that decides what a site is cleared to run Data quality: build coverage checks, reconciliation against sources and alerts on a silent or drifting feed, so a wrong or missing record is caught the same day; own retention and access controls on the records Integration and reporting: agree schemas and interfaces with the engineers who run the security monitoring platform, and build the query surfaces and reports the team, site leads and leadership use directly Minimum qualifications Have designed and run production data systems (relational schemas, change data capture, batch or streaming pipelines and the services around them) and kept them correct: coverage measured, records reconciled against the source, alerts on silence, and a design that expects records to get corrupted or lost Have integrated with systems you did not control (inventory tools, ticketing systems, vendor APIs) and built data models that outlive any one source Have shipped software that runs outside a central service (host agents, site-local services, edge collectors) and kept it correct in the field, or built metrics a team made decisions on and defended them when challenged Have worked hands-on with data about physical assets or security controls: a hardware fleet, data center or supply chain inventory, asset custody, or the control and evidence data of a security or compliance program Read and review other people's code, and build with AI coding agents using Git and code review Own a domain end to end: set the approach, design and build it with the teams and vendors whose systems it depends on, and run it as something people use every day Write SQL and at least one general-purpose programming language well Preferred qualifications Experience with asset management, supply chain or warehouse systems where serialized tracking and custody transfer are the core problem Experience building continuous control monitoring or metrics for a security or compliance program, or producing evidence an assessor accepted, for example against NIST SP 800-53, ISO 27001 or SOC 2 Experience with risk or posture scoring that combines control results, findings and other evidence into a measure people make decisions on Familiarity with data center hardware and its lifecycle from receipt to decommission, and with sites and parties you did not control: colocation, cloud or GPU cloud operators, hardware manufacturers, logistics providers Have run software on many hosts or at remote sites with versioned rollout and a way to know each copy is still reporting Have built AI agents or automation that replaced recurring manual work The annual compensation range for this role is listed below.  For sales roles, the range provided is the role’s On Target Earnings ("OTE") range, meaning that the range includes both the sales commissions/sales bonuses target and annual base salary for the role.Annual Salary:$320,000—$405,000 USDLogistics Minimum education: Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education, training, and/or experience Required field of study: A field relevant to the role as demonstrated through coursework, training, or professional experience Minimum years of experience: Years of experience required will correlate with the internal job level requirements for the position Location-based hybrid policy: Currently, we expect all staff to be in one of our offices at least 25% of the time. However, some roles may require more time in our offices. Visa sponsorship: We do sponsor visas! However, we aren't able to successfully sponsor visas for every role and every candidate. But if we make you an offer, we will make every reasonable effort to get you a visa, and we retain an immigration lawyer to help with this. We encourage you to apply even if you do not believe you meet every single qualification. Not all strong candidates will meet every single qualification as listed.  Research shows that people who identify as being from underrepresented groups are more prone to experiencing imposter syndrome and doubting the strength of their candidacy, so we urge you not to exclude yourself prematurely and to submit an application if you're interested in this work. We think AI systems like the ones we're building have enormous social and ethical implications. We think this makes representation even more important, and we strive to include a range of diverse perspectives on our team.Your safety matters to us. To protect yourself from potential scams, remember that Anthropic recruiters only contact you from @anthropic.com email addresses. In some cases, we may partner with vetted recruiting agencies who will identify themselves as working on behalf of Anthropic. Be cautious of emails from other domains. Legitimate Anthropic recruiters will never ask for money, fees, or banking information before your first day. If you're ever unsure about a communication, don't click any links—visit anthropic.com/careers directly for confirmed position openings. How we're different We believe that the highest-impact AI research will be big science. At Anthropic we work as a single cohesive team on just a few large-scale research efforts. And we value impact — advancing our long-term goals of steerable, trustworthy AI — rather than work on smaller and more specific puzzles. We view AI research as an empirical science, which has as much in common with physics and biology as with traditional efforts in computer science. We're an extremely collaborative group, and we host frequent research discussions to ensure that we are pursuing the highest-impact work at any given time. As such, we greatly value communication skills. The easiest way to understand our research directions is to read our recent research. This research continues many of the directions our team worked on prior to Anthropic, including: GPT-3, Circuit-Based Interpretability, Multimodal Neurons, Scaling Laws, AI & Compute, Concrete Problems in AI Safety, and Learning from Human Preferences. Come work with us! Anthropic is a public benefit corporation headquartered in San Francisco. We offer competitive compensation and benefits, optional equity donation matching, generous vacation and parental leave, flexible working hours, and a lovely office space in which to collaborate with colleagues. Today the company runs one of the world’s largest networks that powers millions of websites and other Internet properties for customers ranging from individual bloggers to SMBs to Fortune 500 companies. Cloudflare protects and accelerates any Internet application online without adding hardware, installing software, or changing a line of code. Cloudflare was named to Entrepreneur Magazine’s Top Company Cultures list and ranked among the World’s Most Innovative Companies by Fast Company. At Cloudflare, we’re not looking for people who wait for a polished roadmap; we’re looking for the builders who see the cracks in the Internet that everyone else has simply learned to live with. We value candidates who have the instinct to spot a "normalized" problem and the AI-native curiosity to create a solution using the latest tools. Our culture is built on iteration, leveraging AI to ship faster today to make it better tomorrow, while ensuring that every improvement, no matter how small, is shared across the team to lift everyone up. If you’re the type of person who values curiosity over bureaucracy, and that AI is a partner in solving tough problems to keep the Internet moving forward, you’ll fit right in.Available Locations: Austin, TX About Cloudflare At Cloudflare, our mission is bold yet simple: to help build a better Internet. Our global network handles trillions of requests each month, protecting and accelerating applications without added hardware, software, or code changes. Our Developer Platform, including Workers, Workers AI, R2, KV, Durable Objects, and Pages, empowers developers to build and deploy applications globally, faster than ever before. About the Team The Developer GTM organization is driving how we attract, inspire, and grow the next generation of builders. We are redefining what developer acquisition looks like in a world where AI and distributed agents are reshaping the stack. Our mission is to create new pathways for developers to discover Cloudflare, whether through ecosystem partnerships, high impact content, or creative field engagement. We are builders, storytellers, and connectors united by one goal: to make Cloudflare the most exciting place for developers to build. The Developer Solution Strategist (DSS) organization sits inside Developer GTM and partners tightly with Sales, Product, Finance, Legal, and DevRel. DSS connects developer activation to durable commercial outcomes: shaping usage into clear proposals, aligning pricing and packaging, enabling the field with repeatable plays, and feeding real-world signal back into product and go-to-market. About the Role We are hiring a Sr. Director, Developer Solution Strategists to lead an elite team of Solution Strategists aligned to their sales regions. You will set the global DSS strategy, standardize operating rhythms, and ensure consistent execution on activation → expansion → commercial structure. This leader is equally fluent in developer workloads and commercial mechanics, can operate from strategy to hands-on deal guidance, and is energized by building a high-trust partnership with field leadership worldwide. What You Will Do Own the global DSS strategy and operating model. Define goals, scorecards, and cadences for regional teams (usage activation, expansion, proposal velocity, win rate, disciplined discounting, sourced/influenced pipeline). Build and lead a high-performing, distributed org. Hire, develop, and coach Solution Strategists. Drive activation → expansion for priority workloads. Ensure teams use usage telemetry to identify “next-best actions,” expansion paths, and strategic accounts; publish a weekly global “usage radar.” Standardize commercial design. Maintain global proposal templates, commercial frameworks, and ROI/TCO narratives. Pricing and non-standard terms remain with Finance/Legal; DSS designs and shepherds. Run pipeline and deal reviews. Establish a global rhythm for opportunity triage, strategic deal reviews, and win/loss analysis; surface systemic blockers and drive resolution with Sales, Deal Desk, Security, and Legal. Enable the field at scale. Ship workload blueprints, playbooks, calculators, objection handling, and talk tracks; run monthly regional enablement with Sales leadership and measure adoption and lift. Align with Solution Architects and FDEs. Closely partner with your technical counterparts to run GTM motions in lock step with identified product-market fit.  Close the loop with Product. Translate field insights into clear, quantified recommendations on positioning, packaging, limits, and roadmap; track impact ($) of changes. Partner with Programs. Support startups/accelerators and targeted campaigns with BDR/Marketing, with drive toward helping regions become increasingly self-sufficient. Forecasting & planning. Own DSS headcount planning, coverage models by segment/geo, and quarterly objectives; partner with RevOps for attribution and instrumentation. Culture & quality. Raise the bar on writing, narrative clarity, and executive communication; model Cloudflare’s values in every region. Who You Are 10+ years in developer platforms, pre-sales/solutions, deal strategy, or commercial architecture; 4+ years leading managers across multiple regions/time zones. Proven ability to translate technical workloads into compelling commercial outcomes and navigate complex approvals with Sales, Finance, Legal, and Security. Builder’s mindset with strong operational chops: you design operating models, write crisp narratives, and drive cross-functional execution. Data-driven and fluent in product usage telemetry; comfortable with Sheets/SQL-level analysis to size opportunities and measure impact. Exceptional communicator—clear writer and presenter—from developer ICs to executive sponsors. Experience enabling large field organizations with playbooks, training, and tooling; passion for coaching managers and building bench strength Background in usage-based/consumption pricing and commit structures Experience with startup programs or digital-native segments Bonus points for former startup founders and builders of overlay programs focused on developer GTM  What Makes Cloudflare Special? We’re not just a highly ambitious, large-scale technology company. We’re a highly ambitious, large-scale technology company with a soul. Fundamental to our mission to help build a better Internet is protecting the free and open Internet. Project Galileo: Since 2014, we've equipped more than 2,400 journalism and civil society organizations in 111 countries with powerful tools to defend themselves against attacks that would otherwise censor their work, technology already used by Cloudflare’s enterprise customers--at no cost. Who we are About Stripe Stripe is a financial infrastructure platform for businesses. Millions of companies—from the world’s largest enterprises to the most ambitious startups—use Stripe to accept payments, grow their revenue, and accelerate new business opportunities. Our mission is to increase the GDP of the internet, and we have a staggering amount of work ahead. That means you have an unprecedented opportunity to put the global economy within everyone’s reach while doing the most important work of your career. About the team In this role, you'd be joining the Alloy Integrations team. We own how Metronome's customers collect payments and recognize revenue. We build and run the integrations that connect Metronome's usage-based billing platform to the systems businesses depend on to get paid: Stripe invoicing and payments, cloud marketplaces (AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud), ERP systems like NetSuite and QuickBooks, and CRM systems like Salesforce. We also bring Stripe products such as Checkout into Metronome, so customers can move from contract to cash in one place. Our team helps Stripe increase the GDP of the internet by making sure every invoice reaches the right system and every payment is collected and accounted for correctly, at scale. We focus on two areas: Invoicing: collection, dunning, and invoice delivery Quote-to-cash automation: connecting the full journey from a signed deal to recognized revenue What you'll do You'll build and operate distributed systems that move billing data between Metronome and the platforms our customers use to run their finances. The work combines product engineering and reliability. You'll ship features that customers ask for directly, and you'll strengthen the event-driven pipelines that handle large invoicing spikes every month-end. You'll work closely with our product manager, with partner engineering teams that own contracts, usage rating, and invoice finalization, with solutions architects who build ERP integrations with customers, and with technical support engineers who work with customers every day. In your first few months, you'll ship a customer-facing improvement to one of our integrations, join the on-call rotation, and take ownership of one of our core systems. Responsibilities Design, build, and maintain integrations between Metronome and external billing, payments, marketplace, ERP, and CRM platforms Build reliable, event-driven systems for invoice delivery, payment workflows, and status sync, with safe retries, rollbacks, and reconciliation Ship features that help customers control how they invoice, collect, and account for revenue, from design through launch Improve observability and automated repair across our systems so problems are caught and fixed before customers notice them Participate in an on-call rotation and lead incident response, root-cause analysis, and follow-up work for the systems the team owns Plan and carry out migrations and changes to existing integrations without disrupting customer billing Partner with product, support, solutions architecture, and other engineering teams to scope work and represent customer needs Who you are We're looking for someone who meets the minimum requirements to be considered for the role. If you meet these requirements, you are encouraged to apply. The preferred qualifications are a bonus, not a requirement. Minimum requirements This is a Staff level role, so we typically target 10+ years of professional experience building and operating backend systems in production Experience designing and integrating with third-party APIs, including handling failures, retries, and data consistency across systems Experience with distributed or event-driven systems, such as message queues, streams, or workflow engines Experience owning services in production, including monitoring, on-call, and incident response Ability to communicate technical tradeoffs clearly to engineers and to people outside engineering Preferred qualifications Experience with billing, invoicing, payments, tax, or other financial systems where correctness matters Experience with AWS serverless and data services such as Lambda, Kinesis, SQS, or Step Functions Familiarity with ERP or CRM platforms such as NetSuite, QuickBooks, or Salesforce, or with cloud marketplace billing Experience with GraphQL APIs and relational databases such as Postgres Experience leading cross-team projects or large migrations
